Welcome to the INOCA International website.
This website has been created to raise awareness, improve understanding, share knowledge and support better recognition and care of INOCA conditions. By accessing and using this website, you acknowledge the information set out below.
About INOCA International
INOCA International Limited is a not-for-profit, patient-led cardiovascular health organisation and a company limited by guarantee registered in Scotland. Company number: SC890202
Our website is: https://www.inocainternational.com/
If you have any questions about these terms or would like to request permission to use INOCA International material, please contact: contact@inocainternational.com
Purpose of this website
The information, resources, videos, patient experiences, presentations, publications and other materials provided through the INOCA International website are intended for educational, awareness and informational purposes.
We aim to provide information in good faith and in the genuine hope that it helps patients, families, healthcare professionals, researchers and others to better understand INOCA conditions and the experiences of people affected by them.
Medical knowledge develops continuously. Although we take reasonable care over the material we publish, information may change as research, clinical evidence, guidance and understanding develop. Publication on the INOCA International website should therefore not be interpreted as a guarantee that information will remain current indefinitely.
Medical disclaimer
Nothing on the INOCA International website should be considered or used as individual medical advice, diagnosis, treatment advice or a recommendation about the medical care of any particular person. Information provided on this website is not a substitute for consultation with an appropriately qualified healthcare professional who understands your individual medical history and circumstances.
INOCA International does not provide a clinical service and accessing or communicating through this website does not create a doctor-patient, clinician-patient or other healthcare professional relationship with INOCA International. You should always discuss questions about your health, symptoms, diagnosis, medication, treatment, investigations or care with your own doctors or healthcare team.
You should not start, stop or change prescribed medication, treatment or a medical care plan solely because of something you have read, watched or heard through this website.
Emergencies and urgent medical concerns
The INOCA International website is not an emergency or urgent medical service. If you believe that you or another person may require urgent or emergency medical attention, please contact the appropriate emergency medical service or healthcare service in your own country without delay. Do not use this website or email INOCA International as an alternative to seeking urgent medical assistance.
Patient experiences and peer information
Patient experiences are an important part of INOCA International’s work. Patient stories, quotations, interviews, videos, suggestions and descriptions of personal experiences represent the experiences of the individuals concerned. They should not be interpreted as medical advice or as evidence that the same approach, treatment, medication, investigation, strategy or outcome will be appropriate for another person. Individual experiences of symptoms, diagnosis, testing, treatment and response to treatment can vary considerably.
Where patients share things they have personally found helpful, this is shared as patient experience rather than as a medical recommendation from INOCA International. Please discuss changes to your own care, treatment, medication or routine with an appropriate healthcare professional.
Professional and expert contributions
The website may contain presentations, interviews, articles, quotations or other contributions from clinicians, researchers, academics and other experts. These contributions are provided for educational and informational purposes.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, they should not be interpreted as individual medical advice or as establishing a clinical relationship between the contributor and a website visitor. Views expressed by individual contributors are their own professional or personal contributions and should not automatically be interpreted as representing the views of every member, adviser, partner or supporter of INOCA International.
External websites and third-party content
The INOCA International website may contain links to external websites or may display or embed content supplied by third parties. Links are provided where we believe they may be useful or relevant.
The presence of a link does not mean that INOCA International controls the external website, accepts responsibility for all of its content or necessarily endorses every opinion, statement, product or service appearing on it. External websites may change without our knowledge.
Once you leave the INOCA International website, the content, availability, privacy practices and terms of the external website are the responsibility of its operator.
Copyright and intellectual property
We invest considerable time, expertise and resources in creating the educational and awareness materials made available through the INOCA International website. Copyright and other intellectual property rights in original material created by or for INOCA International are protected by law.
Unless otherwise stated, this includes original:
text and written content; graphics and campaign materials; illustrations and visual designs; photographs; videos and recordings; presentations and slides; downloadable publications and documents; educational resources; website graphics and page designs; event and campaign materials; and other original content created by or for INOCA International.
© INOCA International Limited. All rights reserved.
Where material belongs to another copyright owner or has been supplied or licensed to INOCA International by another person or organisation, copyright remains with the relevant rights-holder unless expressly transferred.
Nothing in these terms should therefore be interpreted as INOCA International claiming ownership of material that legally belongs to somebody else.
Sharing links to our work
We want INOCA International’s information and resources to reach the people who may benefit from them. You are welcome to share a normal hyperlink to a publicly available page on the INOCA International website. You may also use ordinary platform sharing functions to share links to INOCA International website content or INOCA International’s own public social-media posts. Sharing a link does not, however, grant permission to download, copy, reproduce or re-upload the underlying photograph, graphic, video, publication or other material.
Reproducing INOCA International material
Unless permission is provided by us, or your proposed use is otherwise permitted by applicable copyright law, INOCA International material must not be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded to another website, distributed, commercially exploited, materially adapted or incorporated into another publication, presentation, campaign, website, training resource or other work. This applies whether or not the proposed use is online or offline.
Giving INOCA International a credit or attribution does not, by itself, create permission to reproduce copyright material where permission would otherwise be required. Likewise, the fact that material can be downloaded, screenshotted, copied or accessed publicly online does not mean that copyright has been waived.
Photographs and images
Photographs and other images appearing on the INOCA International website may be protected by copyright belonging to INOCA International, a photographer or another rights-holder. Unless the relevant image is expressly made available under terms that allow reuse, you should not download, copy, crop, alter, reproduce, publish or re-upload an image elsewhere without appropriate permission where permission is required by law. This includes use on websites, social media, publications, promotional materials, presentations, advertising and commercial materials.
Where permission is required, please contact us before using the image.
Videos, presentations and downloadable resources
Videos, recordings, presentations, educational resources, reports, newsletters, campaign materials and other downloadable content may contain multiple forms of intellectual property. Making a resource available to view or download does not automatically give permission for it to be reproduced, re-hosted, edited, translated, repackaged or incorporated into another resource.
Please contact INOCA International if you would like to reproduce or adapt any such material.
Quotations, research and other lawful uses
Nothing in these terms is intended to prevent uses of copyright material that are expressly permitted under applicable law. UK copyright law provides a number of limited exceptions in particular circumstances, including certain forms of fair dealing, quotation, criticism or review, research and education.
Whether an exception applies depends upon the particular circumstances and the nature and extent of the material used.
Where acknowledgement is legally required, appropriate acknowledgement must be provided.
Automated copying, scraping and artificial intelligence
Except where applicable law permits use without permission, no permission is granted to systematically scrape, harvest, extract, reproduce or compile INOCA International website content into another database, dataset or collection. This includes systematic use of INOCA International copyright material for the development, training, fine-tuning or evaluation of machine-learning or generative artificial-intelligence systems where permission is required by applicable law.
Requests for permission may be made to:
contact@inocainternational.com
INOCA International name, logo and branding
The INOCA International name, logo and distinctive organisational or campaign branding must not be used in a way that suggests an organisation, event, publication, product, service or individual is endorsed, sponsored, authorised or formally associated with INOCA International when that is not the case. If you would like to use INOCA International branding in connection with a collaboration, event, publication or other activity, please contact us for permission.
Requesting permission
We are very happy to consider reasonable requests to use INOCA International material, particularly where doing so supports education, awareness, research or improved understanding of INOCA.
Permission should be requested before reproducing the relevant material. Please contact: contact@inocainternational.com and tell us which material you would like to use, where you would like to use it and the purpose for which it will be used.
Where permission is granted, any conditions attached to that permission must be respected.
Reporting possible unauthorised use
If you believe INOCA International material is being copied, reproduced or used elsewhere without appropriate permission or attribution, we would be grateful if you would let us know.
Please contact: contact@inocainternational.com and, where possible, include a link or other information showing where the material is being used.
Accuracy and responsibility
We take reasonable care in preparing and publishing information and aim to correct material where we become aware of a significant error. However, information relating to medicine, research and clinical practice can develop over time, and older website material may not necessarily reflect the most recent evidence or guidance.
Visitors should therefore use the website as an educational and informational resource and seek appropriate professional advice where individual medical, legal or other specialist advice is required.
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts any responsibility or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when our website, activities or legal requirements change.
The date shown at the top of this page will be updated whenever the terms are materially reviewed.
